Roving About

Sierra Buttes, Sierra City, CA

Packer Lake

Breakfast at the Red Moose in Sierra City, mmm good!

Hey wow happy Monday! Rover is the latest rat to jump the ship of fools, or is he really, really gone? Maybe not, who knows? Only the rover knows and deadeye.

HMM, deadeye. Wasn't their a rift between deadeye and rover going on? Rover wasn't doing things the way deadeye wanted them done I bet. No tears from me either way, they already flew the trial(no pun intended) balloon with harrihat myyers as far a contempt of congress for not showing up and it worked so they cannot pin anything to rovers ass either as long as speedy is in charge at DOJ and deadeye is still in his chair.

Well the pundits will have a good old media frenzy of speculation I suppose and there will be many theories bandied about as to what the REAL story is. The real story is one less goomer in a place where goomers don't belong in the first place.

Good riddance rover, you old dog, you just won't hunt anymore, least that's what deadeye says.

Great photos, Den! Looks like you had a marvelous day!

Ok whats happening behind the scenes they don't want people to find out about?

Throwing up a real BIG smoke screen?

Pay no attention to that geezer with the sinister hrumph behind the curtain.

Roving possibilities:

1) Karl Rove severs (publically at least) ties with the WH so that he can AGGRESSIVELY fight charges that will be lodged against him after the August break.

2) Karl Rove resigns because he knows that the Cheney contingent is going to get its way and will nuke Iran and even Rove thinks this is lunacy. (i.e. Rumsfeld resigns and Rice gets her way; Rove resigns and Cheney gets his way.)

3) Karl Rove is lying (as usual) and will announce plans that he will manage _________ ________, as yet unannounced presidential campaign. (This person could be Newt Gingrich or even Joe Lieberman.)

4) Karl Rove resigns so that his legal battles are completed in time for him to get a presidential pardon.

5) Karl Rove resigns because he's only 56 YO and figures he needs an "out" to rehabilitate his image. He leaves the WH and things get even worse than they are and he can say, "Look at what happened AFTER I left!"

6) Karl Rove resigns because he's going to marry Jeff Gannon.

DEN said...

Micki, quite marvelous indeed!

I love the high Sierras.

micki said...

Karl Rove resigns so that they can successful change the subject, AGAIN, and he still does his dirty work behind the scenes.'s working. We're talking about it. ;-))

DEN said...

Micki, #6 for sure, the witto pudgy wudgy.

Another possibility is that reality is setting in and the realization has become apparent that "The Architect," "Boy Genius" is a total, flatout failure!

Keep in mind that General Rove's mission (after he messed with the elections) was to:

1) Restructure Social Security

2) Spread democracy around the globe!

3) Rewrite the tax code.

Three strikes and you're out!

Rover will never resign from being a scumball. He will be working hard to orchestrate Hitler's no 2008 presidential election speech.

Our nightmare and Rove's love for nastiness are just the beginning.

I have had a chance to add how many soldiers, contractors, and journalists have died in Iraq and Afghanistan and the number is around 5,200. "You're doing a heckava job, Georgie." - Gerald

"I wonder how many times Georgie keeps replaying the explosions of cluster bombs and bombs upon humanity from his film library? I believe he licks his chops at these sightings. Yes, Georgie, you're doing a heckava job." - Gerald

I remember something about Rove changing jobs quite awhile ago. I thought then he was leaving, but he didn't. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? Bet you'll know what I'm referring to, Micki.

Incredible photos Den. How enjoyable. Just spectacular.

Well, they've got something up their sleeves. That's it in a nutshell. The plan has probably been hatched for months and we'll get savvy as soon as the damage is good and done.

Plumbing problems galore this weekend and today. How glamorous is my life???

) Karl Rove is lying (as usual) and will announce plans that he will manage _________ ________, as yet unannounced presidential campaign. (This person could be Newt Gingrich or even Joe Lieberman.)

Dr. B? I believe Micki's grabbed the ring at the merrygoround.

Uh huh Micki. Undoubtedly. His skills can't be wasted, don't ya know?

Carol, I can't seem to remember, but Micki will.

ÂșCÂșarol said...

One thing you can count on, Rove leaving was a calculated move. None of them do anything just for the hell of it.

carey said...

Again my bathtub has been soiled Micki and Carol. Same problem. Old pipes and I think a major leak behind the walls that I cannot possible afford if I'm eventually moving.

Never mind me. Get back to Rove.

Think Micksters hit the nail on the head. He's going to work for...who, Giuliani?

That's a given, isn't it Carol? Rove ain't going away. We all know that.

micki said...

Carol -- I think you may be referring to the alleged change in Rove's job status prior to the '06 election. They needed Rove for his "campaign skills" so he was "reassigned" -- there was much talk about whether it was a demotion, lateral, reassignment, or what? Remember Andrew Card had "resigned" and Josh Bolten had become chief of staff in his place. It was like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titantic.

But, the real reason for Karl's switcheroo was to give him more time for his dirty politicking during the '06 campaigns. The pResiden't agenda was going no where -- and the ACTION was in the campaign. So Karl was called to the rescue.

micki said...

Nah, Carey, I doubt it's Rudy he'll work for.

Remember that George P. and Jeb are keen on Fred Thompson. Gag-a-roo.

Hey, maybe he's going to work for Jeb! Remember reality is non-existent with this group of goons...

micki said...

Sorry about your toilet problems.

Gawd! Everything is tanking!

micki said...

And we all know that Rove is NOT a genius!

He's useful because he has no conscience.

And we all know that Rove is NOT a genius!

He's useful because he has no conscience.

I agree completely. He's not a genius, he's diabolical. That he has no conscience is a given and has been proven over and over.

Maybe he's starting a hip-hop career. *thinks back to that disaster of an act on stage*

•c•arol said...

Yes, Micki, that was it. I knew you'd know what I was trying to remember.

Gerald said...

I agree with Micki. Rover will work for Fred Thompson.

Gerald said...

I am still going to stick with my earlier post. Rover will spend time working on Hitler's speech to cancel the 2008 presidential elections.

Romans Chapter 13

Gerald said...

The problem in America today is that we have allowed our political leaders to violate their oaths of office and to ignore, and blatantly disobey, the "supreme Law of the Land," the U.S. Constitution. Therefore, if we truly believe Romans Chapter 13, we will insist and demand that our civil magistrates submit to the U.S. Constitution.

Jeez the speculation is rampant in the blogosphere.

1- rover is in Larry Flynt's batch of repug perverts.

2- rover is leaving to run Jebs prez campaign.

3- rover is getting ready to leave the country to avoid prosecution.

4- rover is leaving because an indictment is in the pipeline.

5- rover and Jeff Gannon are running away together.

6- rover and the chimp are having a lovers quarrel.

There's a six pack for ya.

Rats leave sinking ships, don't they?

DEN said...

Doc, what indicates the 'ship' is sinking?

I see power consolidation, rover leaving takes the heat off.

David B. Benson said...

The old story hadd it that the first evidence that the ship was sinking was the rats leaving...

DEN said...

Doc, so far I have just seen rat exchanges, shift change on the ship of gouls.

David B. Benson said...

I'll agree that it is

the ship of gouls.

carey said...

Oh, I'm stealing that.

If it's anybody, it'll by Fred, you're right, Micki and Gerald. Joe-boy???? Nah.

I just got it, what he's going to do. He'll write that money-maker book quickly. Then, as it becomes clear who the Repug nominee will be, he'll twattle off to run their campaign.

That is his supposed "genius," winning slash-and-burn campaigns.

Hang on for this one:

August 13, 2007, 9:19 PM (GMT+02:00)

At midnight Thursday, Aug. 9, DEBKAfile’s monitors of terrorist Web sites and forums connected the messages accumulating from midday. They spelled out an al Qaeda threat mentioning New York, Los Angeles and Miami as targets of attacks “by means of trucks loaded with radioactive material.” Our counter-terror sources and monitors stressed “there is no way of gauging for sure how serious these threats are, or how real.”

Monday, Aug. 13, the chatter continues.

Such disclosures are the daily content of DEBKAfile – not only about al Qaeda, but terrorist organizations in the Middle East and other parts of the world. We believe that holding back such information would be irresponsible and wrong and possibly expose people in targeted countries, most predominantly the United States and Israel, to danger. After this data is aired on our free site, our job is done and it is up to the relevant security authorities to decide how to deal with it.

In this case, the New York Police Department very properly responded.

After 24 hours, during which time the department almost certainly put its vast resources to work to research and assess the DEBKAfile disclosure, security was increased throughout Manhattan and on tunnels and bridges, with radioactivity sensors posted on vehicles, boats and helicopters.

The New York police came up with a further piece of information which was not sourced to DEBKA suggesting that a dirty bomb may go off on Friday evening around 34th Street in Manhattan, where the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden and Macy’s department store are located.

At that point, something quite irrational happened: The NYPD’s sensible precautions generated a flood of media recriminations against… DEBKAfile. Unbridled, gratuitous assaults on this publication’s credibility came from the publications which missed the story, prominently Associated Press, the International Herald Tribune and FoxNews.

Reuters, to its credit, covered the episode fairly and professionally.

With regard to DEBKAfile’s record, our readers may recall that in 2003, our counter-terror sources exposed the massive recruitment campaign al Qaeda ran worldwide for an army of jihadis to fight US forces in Iraq under the command of a Jordanian terrorist called Abu Musab al Zarqawi.

Again, in 2005 - and up until the present - we warned that al Qaeda was building networks in Egyptian Sinai and the Gaza Strip.

Had the powers-that-be responded in timely fashion to these advance alerts, the situation in both troubled places might have evolved differently.

DEN said...

The link HERE to another story with a bit more detail.

DEN said...

OK yea, the link is bogus or at least to me so heres the short story:

The threat was picked up by DEBKAfile’s monitors from a rush of electronic chatter on al Qaeda sites Thursday, Aug. 8.

The al Qaeda communications accuse the Americans of the grave error of failing to take seriously the videotape released by the American al Qaeda spokesman Adam Gaddahn last week. “They will soon realize their mistake when American cities are hit by quality operations,” said one message.

Another said the attacks would be carried out “by means of trucks loaded with radio-active material against America’s biggest city and financial nerve center.”

Now I don't know about you folks but this sounds rather grim to me,
where's Chertoff on this?

Truckloads? Isn't that rather obvious?

I suppose since they (DHS) did not figure it out, it's not a credible threat.

Rumor or truth? That is the question.

DEN said...

Geez, now the link works here.

Psycho Muslim extremists?

Or clever contrived neo-fascist plan?

Wheres deadeye? in his bunker?

Time for the American people to become the eyes and ears and keep a look out and notify the cops if DHS won't help.

Suspicious young Arab types with U hauls acting strangely?

I hate this shit!

carey said...

If you're still up Den, fascinating stuff from Debka.

Wow. Sounds legit, or, at least, worrisome, don't it?
