Urgent: Military "Terror Prevention" Exercises May Be Scheduled to Coincide With May 1 Demos!

by Multiple Sources (Posted by JOY2U)

Tell A Friend

Please be on alert this first week of May and particularly on May 1 in the Seattle area.

On Thursday, May 1, the exercise begins in Washington, when an explosion collapses the Alaska Way viaduct in downtown Seattle and damages surrounding buildings. Twenty minutes later, terrorists explode a highjacked tanker filled with highly toxic chemicals at the Seattle Ferry Terminal. Deadly gas soon permeates downtown Seattle. Emergency responders come in waves. Police and firemen, first to arrive, are quickly overwhelmed. The state deploys its 22-member Civil Support Team, a National Guard unit, to assess the damage and coordinate support. Later, 100 soldiers from a chemical battalion based in Yakima arrive to rescue, decontaminate and treat survivors. Finally, 5,000 troops arrive to handle logistics and security.

On Monday, May 5, the scenario shifts to Oregon where VX, the most toxic nerve agent ever synthesized, erupts from the Umatilla Army Depot. The next day, terrorists blow up a chemical tanker in Ferndale, Washington. The county sheriff requests national support, and a Marine Corps chemical warfare detachment from Ft. Lewis, Washington responds....

...Issuing an alert—as we are doing now—is not an instance of "crying wolf," as Bush administration apologists often assert. As military-trained experts, we are convinced that the US 9/11 and UK 7/7 attacks were set up under the camouflage of terror drills. The existence of a wolf is not in question. The wolf of false flag terror has killed our fellow citizens and frightened our country into needless wars. It's our mission of conscience to keep it from striking again.

There is a series of military "terror prevention exercises" reportedly scheduled in Seattle for the first week of May, involving scenarios for the destruction of the Alaska Viaduct, the blowing up of a tanker containing deadly chemicals at the ferry terminal and much much more.

All of these are reportedly planned out of Fort Lewis, with surprise implants and "Continuity of Government" operations possibly scheduled to coincide with the mass demonstrations to shut down the Port of Seattle and demand immigrant rights on May 1.

All activsts need to be aware that such "military terror prevention exercises" coincided with the terrorist attacks on 9/11 in New York/Washington DC and in London on 7/7, with the odds of this being mere coincidence several billion to one.

The major source for this is Captain Eric May, of whom you possibly know. Although May is suspect in some circles, his take on this needs to be considered.

Here is a link to a relevant article:*Click here*

Our contacting government officials challenging the need for such joint military "terror prevention" exercises in our cities, and demanding that we and our congressional representatives be allowed to see the top-secret "Continuity of Government" plans to which Congressman Peter de Fazio was ominously denied access last summer may have been the only thing that stopped a similar situation from blowing up last summer in Portland.

Please send this to as many activists as you can before the May 1 demonstrations!

Thanks much! (Rebecca Campbell)

Carey, maybe this is what you are feeling, another 9/11 scenario would be the perfect catalyst to start roping people in like cattle, with gas so expensive you cannot run too far and fear would dominate the dumbed down populous leaving a mess of biblical proportions.

Lets hope this is all BS.

Gee, there are lots of developers and moneymen who want the Alaskan Way Viaduct demolished to create better water views and increased property values.

What a way to achieve their goals!

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - The U.S. Navy has temporarily added a second aircraft carrier in the Gulf as a "reminder" to Iran, but this was not an escalation of American forces in the region, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters during a trip to Mexico, Gates flatly denied a suggestion that the presence of two U.S. carriers in the Gulf could be a precursor to military action against Tehran.

"This deployment has been planned for a long time," Gates said. "I don't think we'll have two carriers there for a protracted period of time. So I don't see it as an escalation. I think it could be seen, though, as a reminder."

DEN, I think it's better to be safe than sorry. I hope everyone is making emergency preparations, storing food, water, have a good medical kit, etc. This is really important if you live in a big city or are dependent on one for shopping. The last thing you will want to do is battle a panic stricken mob at a grocery store! If the shit hits the fan you will at least have a safety net, try to plan for self reliance for at least 30 days. I myself am aiming for a year. If all is well then you still have plenty of food, not a bad either/or.

Iran Ends Oil Transactions In U.S. Dollars
OPEC's Second-Largest Producer Now Pegs Petroleum To Euros And Yen

TEHRAN, Iran, April 30, 2008
(AP) Iran, OPEC's second-largest producer, has completely stopped conducting oil transactions in U.S. dollars, a top Oil Ministry official said Wednesday, a concerted attempt to reduce reliance on Washington at a time of tension over Tehran's nuclear program and suspected involvement in Iraq.

Iran has dramatically reduced dependence on the dollar over the past year in the face of increasing U.S. pressure on its financial system and the fall in the value of the American currency.

Oil is priced in U.S. dollars on the world market, and the currency's depreciation has concerned producers because it has contributed to rising crude prices and eroded the value of their dollar reserves.

"The dollar has totally been removed from Iran's oil transactions," Oil Ministry official Hojjatollah Ghanimifard told state-run television Wednesday. "We have agreed with all of our crude oil customers to do our transactions in non-dollar currencies."

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called the depreciating dollar a "worthless piece of paper" at a rare summit last year in Saudi Arabia attended by state leaders from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries.

Iran put pressure on other OPEC countries at the meeting to price oil in a basket of currencies, but it has not been able to generate support from fellow members — many of whom, including Saudi Arabia, are staunch U.S. allies.

Iran has a tense relationship with the U.S., which has accused Tehran of using its nuclear program as a cover for weapons development and providing support to Shiite militants in Iraq that are killing American troops. Iran has denied the allegations.

Iranian oil officials have said previously that they were shifting oil sales out of the dollar into other currencies, but Ghanimifard indicated Wednesday that all of Iran's oil transactions were now conducted in either euros or yen.

"In Europe, Iran's oil is sold in euros, but both euros and yen are paid for Iranian crude in Asia," said Ghanimifard.

Iran's central bank has also been reducing its foreign reserves denominated in U.S. dollars, motivated by the falling value of the greenback and U.S. attempts to make it difficult for Iran to conduct dollar transactions.

U.S. banks are prohibited from conducting business directly with Iran, and many European banks have curbed their dealings with the country over the past year under pressure from Washington.

However, the U.S. has been wary of targeting Iran's oil industry directly, apparently worried that such a move could drive up crude prices that are already at record levels.

Iranian analysts say Tehran can withstand U.S. pressure as long as it can continue its oil and gas sales, which constitute most of the country's US$80 billion in exports.

The Solar Revolution and the End of Big Energy

by Joe Schembrie

Is Big Government necessary for Big Energy? The zealots of Big Energy claim that if we wish to keep the lights from going out, we must accept mammoth public utilities, mandatory conservation measures, and even imperialist military conflicts. We are told that to receive more electrical power, we must surrender more personal freedom.

Contrary to the politicians, however, the reality is that we are in the midst of a Solar Revolution, in which the free market is answering our energy needs through technological improvements in photovoltaic solar panels. With investments made on a local and household basis, solar panels offer a personalized form of energy that is independent of Big Government.

Yet the ideologues of Big Energy won't give up, and are fighting against the Solar Revolution by resorting to demagogic propaganda. One of their most common lies, for example, is that sunlight is "too dilute" – implying that even if we covered the entire Earth with solar panels we would still not capture enough sunlight to power our civilization. But let's run the numbers, shall we?

At present photoelectric conversion efficiency and under typical seasonal cycles and weather, a solar panel one square meter in area produces about .5 kilowatt-hours of energy per day. Since a barrel of oil contains 1700 kilowatt-hours of energy, it would take 3400 square meters of solar panels to produce the equivalent energy of a barrel of oil per day. The equivalent energy of projected world oil consumption in the year 2030 – 120 million barrels per day – could therefore be met by 400,000 square kilometers of solar panels (=120 million barrels x 3400 sq. meters/barrel). That's only 0.3% of the world's land area!

So much for the nightmare of a world covered with solar panels. Now back to the reality of a world covered with fossil fumes....

Carey -- Fear not! For according to Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Obama has DOZENS of superdelegates all lined up, just waiting for the right time to announce for him.

He'll get the nomination, unless he totally tanks in the remaining primaries.

Carey --- Moving it very stressful. I suspect much of your current sense of unease stems from that.
